Fall Has Arrived at Wilson’s Orchard & Farm 🍂

There’s something about fall at Wilson’s Orchard & Farm that makes you want to slow down, grab a warm drink, wander through the farm, and stay awhile.
This October, the farm in Cumming is bringing back its annual pumpkin patch along with fall favorites, new seasonal food and drinks, live music, tractor rides, Halloween fun, and an all-new Alien Invasion Corn Maze. These activities are perfect for a family afternoon, a fall date, or simply soaking up a little Iowa autumn magic.
Pumpkin Patch Opening Weekend
The annual hunt is officially on for the roundest, weirdest, lumpiest, and most perfectly imperfect pumpkin you can find.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy:
Pumpkin picking
Pumpkin arts & crafts
Farmyard playground
Tractor rides from 9 a.m. to dusk, weather permitting
Live music for Sunday Funday from 3–6 p.m., weather permitting
A brand-new fall menu at the Ciderhouse
A new fall café menu at the bakery
In other words, come for the pumpkin and stay for the cider, food, music, and all the reasons fall feels a little more special on the farm.
Halloween Fun After Dark

Wilson’s is also bringing a little Halloween magic to the farm this fall.
On Friday, October 2, after dusk, settle in for a showing of Hocus Pocus. Grab a cozy spot and enjoy a little Halloween nostalgia under the evening sky.
And if you’re looking for something a little more adventurous, the Alien Invasion Corn Maze will be open Thursday through Saturday evenings from 7–9:30 p.m.
Because apparently getting lost in a cornfield wasn’t exciting enough.
A Taste of Fall

One of the best parts of visiting Wilson’s in the fall is that the season shows up on the menu, too.
The Ciderhouse will be introducing a brand-new fall menu, while the bakery is rolling out a new fall café menu.
It’s the perfect excuse to make an afternoon of it: pick your pumpkins, explore the farm, grab something warm from the café, and settle in for a taste of the season.
Make a Day of It
Located just outside Cumming, Wilson’s Orchard & Farm is an easy fall destination for families, friends, and anyone who wants to enjoy a little time outside.
With pumpkin picking, a farmyard playground, tractor rides, food, drinks, live music, and evening activities, there’s plenty to build a fall day around.
And if you’re visiting from Norwalk or exploring the greater Des Moines area, it’s a great reminder that some of the best fall experiences are right in our own backyard.
